Academic Innovation Applications Developer — Wolfram Research

Organising training, outreach and scientific communication events with users of Wolfram Language. Attending local conferences and events relevant to the mission of the Academic Innovation Support team. Giving conference talks and training events as appropriate to promote usage of Wolfram Language. Incorporating user feedback and use cases to inform the development of new demonstrations, training content and repository items. Contributing to "open projects" including the Wolfram Function Repository, Example Repository, Paclet Repository, etc. Staying up to date with trends in specific academic fields as they are identified as business-relevant, such as ed-tech, GIS, etc. Consulting with faculty, administrators or other business contacts regarding the Wolfram technology stack in their projects. Coordinating with relevant teams for the creation of user-relevant PR content, including social media posts.

Academic Content Developer — Wolfram Research

Developing exemplar projects for computational thinking, GIS, ecology, digital art, and digital humanities courses using Wolfram Language. Collaborating with external organisations to create educational content using Wolfram Language. US Federal Government Marine Debris Database Management Work (MDMAP API). Programmatically corrected errors in marine debris survey site surface definitions (R and QGIS). Data entry of NOAA surveys of Marine debris accumulation and standing stock data spanning approximately 8 years. Statistical analysis on these and other MDMAP data (R).
