About me

My name is Phileas Dazeley-Gaist.

I am a French-British human ecologist, data scientist, and scientific programmer specialised in complex systems and geospatial data.

I currently work at Wolfram Research as an Academic Content Developer, where my responsibilities include:
  • Developing exemplar projects for computational thinking, digital art and digital humanities courses using Wolfram Language
  • Collaborating with external organisations to create educational content using Wolfram Language
  • Providing coordination and logistical support for Academic Innovation Support workshops in college and precollege settings
  • Researching and following up on new opportunities for collaboration on Wolfram Language workshops for external academic organisations, faculty and students

I am a former 2022 NOAA data science intern and Wolfram Research Student Ambassador, and a 2023 Wolfram Summer School alum. My skills are broadly applicable in many scientific fields, and I am a collaborative, meticulous and very fast learner.

I have a deep interest in complex systems, social and cognitive sciences, computer science, and process-driven experimental photo and video art.

I come from a family of teachers, musicians, and sailors, and I feel a profound attachment to education, the arts, and the ocean.
